USC transfers.

I can’t log into OASIS; everytime I try it says invalid usc id. Sounds to me like smurf’s wife got in.

Yeah, it looks to be an explanation of what she needs to do in order to graduate. For example, it says she still needs to finish the foreign language requirement and other major requirements.

So does this sound good? We called them and explained everything. The lady on the phone said they can’t give out admissions decisions over the phone. What concerns me is that we’ve paid for her enrollment committment and orientation fee for both of us. I also bought her a lot of USC clothes. I think the total bill so far is like $600. This’ll be a funny story if she gets in and a miserable disaster if she doesn’t (but maybe a funny story 10 years from now).

No one answers because your question is very vague. How many units have you completed? What’s your GPA? Have you finished econ prereq? Are you applying as sophomore or junior? Have you finished the math and English requirement? What were the W’s in?

It’s a fact USC does not like W’s, but it depends what the W was in. If it was in Cal or Econ, than that could effect your admission. If it was in Ceramics, they probably won’t care.

Like I said before, if you can see your STAR report in Oasis, you are likely in. A forum member confirmed this, because he knew he was accepted and was able to see his STAR report. I can’t see the STAR report in my OASIS account, so I don’t know what it includes. It’s a possibility that the page she is viewing with the classes she need to take to graduate could be the STAR report.

Regardless, transfer students are allowed to send in their committment check after June 1, 2007. It says so specifically on the committment form.

Everyone can login into OASIS. Use your USC ID and use the dob mm/dd/yy as your password. Dont include the /.

not everyone can log onto oasis. I’ve already got my acceptance letter and I can’t log on. I’ve tried like 500 times and it sill says my usc id is invalid. I emailed them through the website thing where you can specify your question but I’m still waiting for a response.

+1 for not being able to log onto oasis

I also have never been able to log in to oasis.

thornton having an 18% doesnt say much. i gurantee you that the instrumentalist have a much harder time getting in than music industry majors. plus, music industry only makes up a small percentage of that 18%. you should ask what the acceptance is specifically for music industry. im surprised its even that high, considering how hard it is to get in as in instrumentalist

Are you guys able to login into SIG?

Yeah I can log into SIG but not OASIS

I can login into both. OASIS is not updated or anything. I haven’t even received a spring grade request.

I can log into Oasis but not SIG…why can’t they cant things together??

I received a letter for spring grades today dated on the 17th. I will be a sophomore transfer and I want to know what my chances are at this point. I finished the year at a private four-year university in LA with a 3.83. First semester 3.89 spring 3.8. I applied as a communications major that I heard is competitive at SC and that major does not have pre-reqs. I am done with SC GE except for the science req. This semester:

Comm theory A-
Philosophy A
Psychology A
American Cultures A
Western Traditions (Hist) B+

I had a good essay, EC, and high school GPA. Oasis says my password is wrong even when I use my birth date

seriously they need to send things in unison. i can log into sig and oasis. on sig it says i need the new winter/spring transcripts. on oasis, nothings updated. and i still haven’t received a spring request in the mail! i’m a freshman applying with a 3.7 and 60 units by the end of spring semester.

Matthew M-Correct, I want a B.S. are you going for the B.M.? I’m getting good recommendation letters from a lot of the people in the department I work for. The Thornton admissions office said it would help.

IIIII-I asked specifically for Music Industry majors but she didn’t know off hand and said 18% for Thornton.

I just called again, no decision.

I wonder if thats really the case, or if they’ve made a decision and they’re just holding off on sending it out.

Off topic: does anyone in here watch LOST? and if you do, how ridiclous was last nights finale?

I have a question for people who can help explain my articulation agreement a bit better for me…

I am currently in a CCC and I just got back one of my grades and it was an A- in my English class. I freaked out because I was expecting an A and because of it, my GPA obviously dropped, but here’s what I’m curious about…

As most know, you need to complete two English classes for admission to USC. For my school, it is English 1A and English 1B. English 1B is the one that’s equivalent to Writ-130. The one that I just completed and got the A- was English 1A. So here’s my question…

In the articulation agreement, English 1A is not listed under the “Course Equivalencies” category. English 1B is, as that’s the one you need, but English 1A is listed under part III, which is the “All courses which transfer for credit.” Because it isn’t listed under part II, does that mean that this A- won’t count towards my transfer GPA, but rather only English 1B, as that’s the only one that’s a course equivalency? Will I just receive general credit for 1A saying that I just completed it or will my A- still go on there?

Here’s the articulation agreement, if I’m not making sense:

Error; (click Los Angeles Area, and Chaffey College)

I just want to know if English 1A will transfer over with my A-, or will it just transfer over for general credit, meaning that I just took it and completed it. I hope the A- doesn’t go on there, because my GPA is going to drop from an expected 3.75 to a 3.71. Thanks.

Anyone receive a transfer merit scholarship? The website says “notification: June 1st,” but doesn’t really specify anything else about the award.

i’m pretty sure that class will count in your gpa. I think the rule is that all transferable classes taken for a letter grade make up your gpa. I didn’t even know that there were ccc’s that gave out minuses. That really sucks. Anyone know if your gpa starts over when you transfer (like UCLA) or if your old gpa will still count in the beginning?

Plz correct me if I am wrong but I do believe that the GPA starts over when you start at USC.

So technically you can tell the internships at USC that you have 4.0 GPA.
