So Ive officially gotten nothing. Oasis was updated on 5/18 and my fin aid was updated on 5/19. So I guess that means they looked at my file on those days? or deleted them. Im so impatient.

I received a request for spring grades, but I can’t log into sig or oasis. Is this a bad sign?

what does it say when you try to sign on to Sig and Oasis and no it’s not a bad sign.

hi everyone
i am an international student in SMC. I have applied for USC biochem major. I had a 3.4 gpa and i am accepted by UCSD. However, USC asks me for my spring semester grade. I was always thinking that most ppl apply to USC go for engineering or business, I have never imagine that USC biochem is that competitve. Unfortunately, because of my family issue, i am not doin good this sem., i most probably will get an A in Organic Chem but a C in last bio class. ( if someone knows SMC bio is freaking hard…) and the worse, a W in calculas II.
It is always my dream to go USC but i know now it will be extremely hard. What do you guys think? Is there still any possiblility? thanks

billy - of course there is a chance but it doesnt look good. I’d send a letter explaining your situation along with your spring grades.

thanks a lot
should i also give them letter of recommandation even if they did not ask for?

Send them a bouquet of flowers while you’re at it, LOL!

just playin dude, send the reccomendation. I dont know how much it’ll help but it can’t hurt.

Can anyone not log onto sig or oasis who was accepted? This is ■■■■■■■■, is there any other way to check financial aid? Maybe they sent my acceptance packet on accident

Reading this makes it seem like a LOT of people got grade requests… which is kinda worrying. My girl recieved one, and is pulling a 4.0 for 3 terms at U of Oregon, but I’m still nervous. I go to USC, and certainly know that they are slightly insane.

Am I crazy for worrying?

kamikaze- which school is your gf applying to? I don’t think you have much to worry about though. i’m sweating it because my gpa is a 3.79 with 38 units completed, not including this semester.

The problem is I’m only taking 9 units and have a w, due to a military commitment.

On one side I want to tell them because I believe my excuse if valid, but on the other hand I’m thinking it might hurt me, in that it might be risky to accept a student like myself, who could be deployed at any time.

hey guys, i applied as a transfer to be a sophomore and just got a spring grade request. any idea if thats a good thing, or does everyone get a spring request? i go to UConn and had a 3.45 in the fall (17 credits) and then a 3.3 in the spring (17 credits). however, i actually took 21 credits and received an incomplete in a class worth 4 credits. the reason why i got an incomplete is long and confusing, so do you think USC will want to know why i got the I or will they just ignore it?
right now i think my GPA is too low to get admitted, but then again I did apply to BA Geography and come from a good school

also, if you applied for the fall and get accepted, can you defer for the spring??
thanks alot

Who’s going to compile the death list?

I have a question… I applied as a sophomore transfer if you have less than 30 units they look at your high school work to evaluate their decision – do these 30 units include any AP classes you may have taken at high school or just college completed units?

simple answer is no.

anybody know if i submit spring grade to USC, do they look over everything I had submittied ? or just the spring grade?

I just called again, they said that no decision has been made BUT I should expect to hear by next week.
I’d like to thank USC admissions for keeping me on this mortal coil, cocksuckers.

Doryx- I’ll compile the list when i get back from class in a few hours, I’m already running late.

I have a little problem I would like to receive some insight on…

Ok, so I have been attending a local community college since spring 2006. I applied to USC after the fall of 2006 for this upcoming fall semester.

The other day I was getting anxious about my decision so I decided to contact the admissions office. They told me my application had not been decided on yet because they were waiting on two other transcripts. The two transcripts were from UMass Amherst and UMass Dartmouth. She told me I still had about three weeks before my deadline is up for the fall semester.

I attended UMass Amherst after I graduated high school in 2003. After many personal stuggles I decided to withdraw halfway through the semester. I decided to give it a shot once again, but this time closer to home at UMass Dartmouth. I withdrew again because of reoccurring personal struggles. From then on I decided to take a few years off and reevaluate what I wanted to do with my future.

After working with my father and with various companies over the 2 year break from school, I decided to enroll at a local community college. I did really well and I currently have a 3.7 cum. GPA.

My question is…Will the two times I dropped out of college affect my chances of admission or will they see my recent grades as a bout to overcome my failing past?

Stats:
GPA 3.7
39 credits
Applying as a sophomore transfer
Lots of ECs
20-25 hrs/week working
Liberal Arts concentration presently

Intended major: Economics

Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

not dead here - yet and no change to Oasis since 2/14/07… Sweet. But, as mentioned earlier, Spring Grade request letter received. It was dtd 5/17.

not to stupid or anything, but if i can get into this page

https://camel2.usc.edu/AdmCert/

today and haven’t been able to until today, am i in? i haven’t received my package in the mail, but i was able to log into the enrollment commitment site today for the first time ever (it used to just say "username not authorized).

anyone?

nologo- yes, it probably means you are in. no guarantees tho. Share your stats? ie… soph, jr, gpa, major, etc?
