USC transfers.

You may have to contact them about that. I just took a Calc I class.
Call them just to make sure.

I was too young to remember when I went to Phili, so I can’t really tell you too much about that. I have a friend going to Temple this Fall, but I’m not so close with her to the extent that I would know much about Temple besides for the fact that she had to go to a 3 day orientation and that it’s in the crappy part of Phili.

Sorry, that’s all I really know.

July 4th, I live 40 minutes from Temple- If you want the absoloute, brutally honest review on Temple- PM me but beware, you may not like what I have to say lol.

will do, sir!

goldenjet has exceeded their stored private messages quota and can not accept further messages until they clear some space.

goldenjet, delete your messages! we need to have a heart to heart pm in regards to my #2.

kaitylin- Thanks for all the info! Im glad that they’ll let us take screenwriting courses right away.

I’ll have for questions if/when I get in!

golden jet, your pm got me thinking…If I don’t get in USC, should I just take the summer and fall semesters off and apply to Occidental, NYU, Rice, SMU, and maybe Claremont McKenna or Pomona Colleges…Or maybe I should just go to Temple, I liked it when i visited (6-8 June). But visits are often different than actually going to school somewhere. Everyone’s comments are welcome. Especially, regarding Occidental.

no offense dude but almost all those colleges are as selective or more selective than USC except for Occidential and SMU.

none taken…but that is a valid point. Hobo, When was the last time you called USC? And are you a ucr student?

I was accepted as a sophmore here are my stats. first semester gpa was 3.88, winter quarter was 3.0 and spring semester was 4.0. my major is psychology. i hand delivered my spring grades last thursday June 15th and received my acceptance letter just four days later. i have orientation on friday, I’m so excited!!

lex, great for you! what school are you transferring from.

hey hobo, did you get your grades on growl yet?

nope, only one of them and its ugly.

i still dont have any grades on growl, even though i’ve had two of them on ilearn for like a week. this is ■■■■■■■■.

lex -

How many hours did you submit in all? Also, how did you find out you got in - did you get a letter in the mail, or did the counselor tell you?

lex, did you apply as an incoming soph or jr? if soph, how were your HS stats?

thanks for the info…and congrats!

king, almost all of my classes transferred, except for some agriculture classes. By the time I enter in fall 06, i will have all pre-reqs, g.e., language, etc. completed. If classes are not offered at the appropriate time next year, consider taking some at your local j.c. I had to do that b/c my university didn’t offer english or 3rd year language when i needed it to.

alright, thanks USC-Please

Also, would anyone be able to tell me if USC will care about my HS+UConn extracurriculars if I’m applying as an incoming sophomore?

Does religion in any way effect a decision? I’m Jewish, and USC is only 10% Jewish. Perhaps they’re looking for more or something? I’m not trying to imply anything, but top schools (with the exception of schools affiliated to a religion or southern schools) seem to have more than 10%.

Will USC care about the fact that I’m a first generation college student, and that I’m from a school in inner city New Haven?

Will coming from a top 70 school in UConn help at all? It seems like 95% of USC transfer applicants are from a CCC, CSU, or UC…know what I mean?

Just trying to find anything to encourage myself that I’ll have a CHANCE as an incoming sophomore despite my 3.3-3.4 HS GPA.

ahhhhhh, the more I think about it…the more I want to get in. And what sucks is I won’t even know for another TWELVE months. Even if I do excellent at UConn, maybe I still won’t get in because of HS.
