thanks guys!

funny thing is, I can’t log onto oasis. I used the USC ID that was in the packet, but oasis says invalid USC ID. they finalized my app on the 30th (all papers are dated for yesterday, the 30th, and i received the packet today) so I guess it isnt updated yet?

what did everyone use as their pin?

I logged in with my birthday, I can’t remember if it was MMDDYY, DDMMYY or what iteration it was, but it finally worked after a few attempts. As for the invalid USC ID thing, that’s what I was getting until I found out I actually had two IDs assigned to me… does the ID on the packet match the one on your barcodes?

i lost the barcodes…so i have no idea!
but did you use the USC ID that is on the conditions and information page in the packet?

Congrats technics, i seem to get this feeling Im going to be the last one to find out on here. If i get rejected im gonna be dormless at Hofstra(my current school) I have a 3.72 GPA, and its from a 4 year private. I just wish I knew already faxed spring grades on June 11 and i still have no decision and Im only 10 days short of being a full month fromt that day. I think i have a decent shot which is why i was willing to lose my single dorm at Hofstra to retain my housing deposit if I do have to leave and I want to go to USC more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my life. Its soo frustrating to have to wait this long. Almost everyone except some of u UCR people have found out already. Congrats again , technics I pray to God I’ll be joining you. Doubt I’ll even here by orientation although I’m not gonna be able to go anyway. Fight On!

Yeah, the one in my acceptance packet is the correct one… 601X, the one on my barcodes was 109X and never worked to log in to anything…
it is really helpful to log in, but I’m sure they’ll go over all of that at Orientation. If you still can’t log in by then I’m sure they’ll send you to the right person to fix it. Bottom line is… you’re in
They’ll get that all fixed for you soon enough! Oh and the person asking about emails… I can’t register mine yet either even though it’s the first step of the orientation process. I figure we can probably make an email a few days after they get our deposit. I just sent my deposit in, so… maybe by next Friday… probably by sure by the 11th. Orientation is only like a week and a few days away… damn that crept up quick!

Trojan, where are you in Florida right now? I’m from Clearwater/Dunedin area myself… went to USF in Tampa for a stint.

Altamonte Springs(Orlando Area). Thats cool I read some of ur previous posts. So ur from Florida and went to USF and now you are going to USC. I was gonna say cuz ur location says LA and if u were from LA and went to USF id have to say u were crazy to leave LA. A friend of mine left LA to go to Hofstra in Long Island NY but she transferred to LMU back in LA after one semester cuz she missed it so much.

Yeah, I was born in NY, but most of my growing up was done in Florida. USF wasn’t my thing, and by that time I had already wanted to get out of Florida and do my own thing away from everyone I knew… brings me some 3,000 miles away to where I am now
I do sort of miss Florida from time to time though, but probably never enough to leave California.

Born in FL lived there less than 2 years, most of growing up done in NY lived there for about almost 9 years then went back to NY for school, fell in love with USC w/o visiting, went and visited fell in love with LA for the first few days I was there, then visited USC for 3 days and strengthened my love for the school and desire to attend. I now pray nightly for an acceptance(although Im not really that religious, so it may not help). I got out of FL as soon as I was done with high school was never a big fan used to like NY when I lived there, but am not a big fan anymore after going to school there for 2 years. I loved California.

Well we’re all still pulling for you stragglers… hurry up and get accepted already
Hopefully after this nice 4 day weekend they’ll just hammer out those acceptance letters next week.

Any other transfer students worried about this:

http://transnet.usc.edu/Parking/alternate.aspx

I’m a commuter student, I won’t be living on campus… sigh. Luckily I live near a tram stop (The Downtown Executive Health Center tram stop is one block from my apartment, but it only goes to the Alumni house… guess I’ll be losing some weight this semester)… but that tram’s first departure is at 8:10AM… That’s OK… but I work full time as well, so I like to do 3 classes before noon, and if I’m starting classes at 9 it just means I’ll probably have to do M-F classes instead of just M/W/F or T/R classes
Oh well… it sure is cheaper to take the tram… what are the rest of you commuters doing?

TrojanWannabe, that would be ****ed up if you got rejected with a 3.72. What major did you apply to? I’m assuming you did the english req, which seems to be most important. Any C’s or D’s on your college transcript?

and does anyone by chance know if starting marshall or leventhal at the start of junior year be way too late? late as in you would need to stay an extra semester or two after your expected graduation date.

King, for me all i know is that I have spent 2 years at UC Riverside and I know for a fact that I will be spending 3 years there.
I think that’s just how it is for engineering, but for you guys it may be better.

I’ve lived in LA my whole life (pasadena), but I still wouldnt want to be anywhere else right now except for USC.

And Trojanwannabe, I have an idea for you. I sent you a PM.

I’ve had 1 C first semester sophomore year, in an advanced TV production facilities course(my major at Hofstra is Audio, Video, Film production) lowest grade in a core academic class was a B in Fundamental Persp. in Psychology, everything else was a B+ or higher and most were As. English was completed my freshmen year, math completed in HS, foreign lang. completed this year Ital 1-3, diversity completed, Cat II completed, Cat V completed. Would only have to do 2 cores that could have been done elsewhere, the rest must be taken in residence. Thanks for the idea Technics, I’ll look into that.

wannabe,

we could have packages in the mail right now. since we are oos they wouldn’t have reached us yet.

I called on Thursday and Friday and a decision hadn’t been made or mailed yet so I def don’t maybe you do. Good luck. Hope we hear soon, this is beginning to get ridiculous, what major did u apply too, my counselor told me the Annenberg School has been pretty slow which is why I don’t know yet.

I haven’t called in a week. I applied to Business, which I think is also going slow since others also seem to be waiting.

However, like you, I am running into problems with housing, etc., at my current school. I have already put down a “huge” deposit that I am going to loose if I get into USC, but it will be worth it. I also have another great backup, but I really want to be in LA at USC, so I’m waiting. I hope the rep is working hard for me.

Good thing the mail runs on Monday.
