<p>What I have to lose is waiting even longer than I already have and being completely screwed up with my current school or having to somehow get over to USC in the blink of an eye with no preparation. I’m fine where I’m at. I would have been happier at USC but I wasn’t unhappy at Hofstra.</p>

<p>I sure hope you aren’t right about the fin aid thing, because my efc is 99999999, which means my parents can pay the full bill, but because they (my parents) want me to have a financial stake in my education, I have to take the full unsubsidized stafford loan (3,500/yr), and to do that, I had to apply for financial aid.</p>
<p>It’s going to be interesting to see what happens in the next days. I’m thinking if you got rejected, so will I, because of the oos issue. It’s just hard to compete with the sheer number of CA students trying to get into USC. I think that’s what they mean by it being a numbers game.</p>

<p>hobo also check your “Financial Aid Document Status” on oasis. The last time mine was updated up until last night was 5/20/2006 but now it is updated as of 7/18/2006. if they sent you that email too it must be updated.</p>

<p>collegegirl i wouldn’t worry about the aid thing. although if ur EFC is that high will they even qualify you for a Stafford loan I though the fed loans were only for those with financial need. I don’t think being out of state really has anything to do with it. It’s a private school they don’t have to take Cali students, and they llike OOS’ers. I’m pulling for yuo although NYU is one hell of a back up. The city is amazing. I’m planning on going in a lot more for the next 2 years cuz i really haven’t taken advantage of being in NY enough. I did ask if i should bother sending in my Official transcripts and he said i should mail them in.

<p>I explained that I had a housing contract that I would be bound to by Thurs. and he said “In that case (since USC is my #1 choice) don’t do anything until you hear our decision”. </p>
