USC trustee [full tuition] vs UC berkeley

My daughter got USC trustee scholarship for the new program “Arts technology & business” major in USC. She did not get the regents post interview but got into Mechanical engineering in Cal. In USC this is the new program sponsored by Iovine and Dr Dre - USC Iovine Young Academy - very selected. Her focus will be on technology (mechanical engg). program gives options to select focus areas on design, technology or business. UC Berkeley has also starting to invest on similar program on design engineering.

She is strong technology candidate on mechanical & materials with huge artistic abilities. Any suggestions.
Does anyone know if in USC she would have options to do double major of “Arts, technology & business” and also get a mechanical engg degree or minor on mechanical.

Hi, @DesignParent, sorry I don’t have any answers for you, and I wonder if you already found the answer or not. My DD’18 just decided on pursuing the USC Iovine Young academy. I searched CC and found this post. Can you share with me about how your DD prepare for the application? What’s her stat? My DD is above average student who have strong interest in Math and artistic talent. We are looking for programs that have both Art and Technology together. Any suggestions or advice for how to prepare for USC portfolio would be much appreciated!
