D20 also signed up for housing. It occurs to me that one explanation for why USC waits so long to notify people about TE would be that they are waiting to see who signs up for housing. If so, $55 well spent.

Hahahaha yeah I don’t know. I was able to do back in February so I am very blessed about that. But also it is HR not admissions so I don’t know but can’t hurt especially if they end up going to USC as I hope to intend to do

Nothing for us yet! To answer a previous question–my son submitted the housing application. We figured it was worth doing for $55. Fingers crossed we’ll hear tomorrow!
No news may be good news… Hang in there USC TE applicants for Class of 2024. I know it is excruciating to wait, but I did hear from one hopeful that TE was NOT awarded at USC just yesterday. It is odd that they would start with declines, but if you haven’t heard anything yet, at least you are still in the running! Good luck all. Ok I guess that’s good news. Um did they tell you when and how they found out?
I was told the applicant was notified of the non-award yesterday, April 9, 2020. No other details.
Ok, well I did not find out either way today so I guess we will have to wait until next week. Thank you for the information @CollegeOdyssey2001 you’ve been a real hero
Aww, @whodat13, thanks. Just trying to shed more light on an opaque, angst-ridden process. And I did hear back from the TE applicant who heard yesterday. Parents got the email–I suspect from TE portal. Did not want to press further. Luckily, the applicant has excellent options. Hope this helps.

@whodat13 I thought it would come out last Thursday! I mean, USC hasn’t extended the deadline to submit deposits, so I would certainly expect that the results would come out this week.
