USC v UC Berkeley Environmental Studies?

Hello, I’ve narrowed my college decisions to USC and UC Berkeley. I’m having a lot of trouble deciding between the two, although many people are urging for me to choose Berkeley because of the prestige. I thought USC was also prestigious, just maybe not in Environmental Science/Studies? Here are my pros and cons.

USC:

  1. I received a Presidential Scholarship from USC (half-tuition), but it’s still more expensive than Cal. I’d prefer living in USC Village than the options at Berkeley.
  2. It’s closer to home (30 minutes).
  3. Post-graduation resources, study abroad and internship opportunities seem more available.

Berkeley:

  1. Again, the prestige is a big factor, especially because Rausser College of Natural Resources is historic. Rausser has a smaller amount of students in it compared to Dornsife, too.
  2. COST! is about 10,000 cheaper than USC, even with the scholarship.
  3. Will the prestige of Berkeley help me get a better job/gain admission into a good law school/graduate school more than USC?

I read somewhere that in 2015, only 18 students graduated from USC with an Environmental Studies degree versus 250 at Berkeley. Is this a good thing or bad thing?
