USC vs. UChicago vs. OSU vs. BostonU vs. Dartmouth vs. 15 other colleges/universities

hi…University of Chicago, hands down! :)

as an alum, and my daughter will be starting school there next fall, there are SO many misconceptions, rumors and nonsense written about University of Chicago that I scarcely recognize it as the college I attended!

I made lots of great friends, studied intensely, but had lots and lots of yes, FUN  So many activities to choose from in terms of EC, hobbies, art, music, whatever floats your boat. Can hop on a train and be in downtown Chicago before you know it. Museum of Science and Industry just around the corner to walk to when you get bored or need a study break. Lake Michigan right at your front door! Small classes with Professors who teach you and care about your opinions. You are not lost in the crowd, the profs KNOW you. Diverse and interesting study body. And now with the new Arts Center to open in 2012, amongst other things, the options are endless. Tons of fantastic electives. Social life rumors just aren’t true! Our dorm was close knit, we had lots of parties and outings to the city and elsewhere. We studied hard but we played hard, too. Don’t believe everything you may have read about Chicago  I think you’d love it there! Good luck with your decision!
