USConnect for Mac (Suddenly have missing forms!)

Well USC updated their USConnect website to allow Mac users to access it, however now that I go to the required documents page, it lists off EVERYTHING I already submitted in the School of Cinematic Arts supplement (creative writing samples, etc) as being required.

The financial aide/paper application site does not list anything off, so that makes me think it’s just because I mailed the supplement.

Has anyone else that applied for SCA noticed this? I have a USPS confirmation of delivery, but I’m nonetheless concerned that the online system doesn’t show that it’s been received.

Sorry I’m not answering your question but does the USConnect work on your computer?

I used Safari 4.0.4. but it doesn’t work when I press the “Undergraduate Application” button under the “Admission” tab. When I press it, “Loading” comes on, but nothing happens…

It happened to me too. My friend said the same thing happened to her last year (and she currently attends SCA). It’s just a checklist for you, it doesn’t mean anything.

laure - USConnect only works on Internet Explorer, I believe.

Also sorry I’m unhelpful (your question might be answered here^^ though), but…

“I used Safari 4.0.4. but it doesn’t work when I press the “Undergraduate Application” button under the “Admission” tab. When I press it, “Loading” comes on, but nothing happens…”

Me too. =/
Well, mine is 4.0.3, but the Undergraduate Application button doesn’t do anything when I click on it. It might say “Loading” for about a second sometimes, but that’s it. And I was excited that I could finally log on (after finishing the app…) on the computer I usually use.

Edit: dreamupsided0wn: In the past, when I tried going on USConnect from anywhere but Internet Explorer it would redirect me to another site. (Which was useless because no logon I tried would work, but that’s another story.)
Now it logs in on Safari, but a few links don’t work once logged in.
Maybe that’s just an issue with the update?

Hmm.

The entire world should just switch to Firefox. :(

and plus, I tried logging onto the website using a PC (Internet Explorer 8) and… it’s the same: “Loading” appears for few seconds and then nothing happens.

laure327 and trumpetcolor, I’m having the exact same problem! But in Firefox, it’s the same system I was using before, the camel2 one.

@dreamupsided0wn: thanks! I figured it was just that, but as I said, I didn’t want to take any chances. Which major did you apply to for SCA?

And everyone else, USConnect works for me now on Safari 4.0.4 and Snow Leopard. It didn’t work before and I just had to use the Application Status site that it would redirect me to, but now it works fine.

I thought it never worked in Firefox either? At least it didn’t work on Firefox on Mac before the update a few days ago…

I have the same setting as you, Safari 4.0.4 and Snow Leopard but it doesn’t work for me. What happens after you press the “Undergraduate Application” button with a picture of a girl studying in a library?

For me, nothing happens. All I can see is that button and another one right next to it, “Admission Documents” with a picture of a guy and a girl looking at a computer.

^you have to disable the pop-up blocker. Unlike in IE or Firefox, Safari doesn’t notify you of blocked windows. Try SHIFT-command-K and then click on the Undergraduate Application button :)

yayyy it works! thank you so much! :)

timish412 - I applied for (1st) Production and (2nd) Critical Studies. How about you?

dreamupsided0wn – I applied for Writing for Screen and Television and then Communication. I thought we weren’t allowed to apply to more than one SCA program a year, though? But maybe that was just for the writing program…

The online SCA supplement said you’re allowed to apply to two as long as you do all of the supplements for both.

Hi
I am so frustrated, anyone can teach me how to submit file through USConnect. I try to rush in before Dec 01. However, I even don’t know how to fill in form on pdf file.

If you are having trouble submitting documents online, maybe it would be easier to FAX them.
