USD, UC Davis, or USC

Davis has the cheapest tuition
USD I got $100,000 for four years for the honors program
USC no aid

Can someone speak from the perspective about living with college debt after graduation?

You are going to pay the full cost of attendance at USC? HOW?

USD…you still, have about $40,000 a year to fund. That’s $160,000 for four years. About $1800 a month in loan payments for ten years.

That’s $60,000 plus a year…or $240,000 and that’s without interest. About $2800 a month in loan repayment for ten years.

PLUS…you, the student, can’t take those loans…your parents would, either need to cosigner or take the loans for you.

Are your parents NOT planning to help you pay for college at all?

UCD is fine…

Go to the place you can afford.
If you take out loans, you are only allowed to take out $5500 per year on your own. Anything else, and that becomes your parents’ debt.
Some loan companies begin billing immediately, soon after the loan is/was disbursed. Kind of a pay as you go deal. Most begin billing 6 months after your expected graduation date.
Student loans cannot be forgiven in bankruptcy. You’re stuck with them for LIFE.

If you/your parents cannot afford to pay for the school then you cannot attend.
