Hi I am from Switzerland doing my high school finals this summer.
I read in a book that going to a community college is a good possibility for foreign students to enter afterwards a good U.S. university because of that 2+2 system (2 years of community college first and then 2 years of university starting directly in year 3 of a bachelor study).
For example if one first does 2 years in “Santa Monica College” he could then - according to this book- enter later on such regional universities like UCLA or Berkeley in the third year of bachelor studies.
Is that kind of transfer really that easy to do and common? Or should one student be really, really good to make the transfer?
And do you think this is in general a good idea for forgeign students to enter the U.S. undergraduate system through those community colleges?
Thank you in advance!
