Uses for Everything Bagel seasoning?

I put zahtar on everything. Middle eastern spice mix.

Try it mixed in hummus. Home made or even store bought hummus. Awesome.

@milee30 , while the average bagel has 50-60 grams of carbs, I just tried a keto bagel recipe that has 3.5 net carbs per bagel, and straight out of the oven, with everything bagel seasoning and a small bit of butter, it was so good. SO good.

Made with almond flour. I haven’t tried one re-heated, so I don’t know how it fares over time yet, but I was thrilled with it when it was fresh.

Only thing I did differently was to brush an egg white wash over the tops before seasoning and putting them in the oven.

Interesting! I will definitely check that recipe out. I’m not on a keto diet, but am finding the keto recipes for breads interesting and helpful for cutting down on the highly refined flour and sugar.

Looking to reduce salt (and BP). Is Everything Bagel seasoning a replacement or does it contain salt?

Salt is a major ingredient/flavor element but I guess you could make your own and leave it out.

I got mine at World Market. I find it a little too salty and I love salt. I’ve ordered a no salt version from Amazon but I think I’ll try another brand of the regular too to see if it’s just the World Market version that’s too salty.

I put it my deviled eggs and that was good.

Someone mentioned above a chili lime seasoning. I think I have seen that in Trader Joe’s too.

My husband would not touch any “everything” bagels (he thinks anything mixed into a bagel is sacrilege), but I bet he will be OK with the seasoning on something other than bagels.

I put it on a plain bagel with cream cheese lol. Also I put it in guacamole and avocado toast.

We put it on grilled salmon, steelhead trout and shrimp and scallops. Some of the other suggestions sound yummy, too.
