USIE SEMINARS 88S enrollment

<p>Are enrollment for 88S courses open to everyone? I did not work closely with any mentors during Fall/Winter, I was able to enroll a couple of them in Spring. Are they pure seminar class? I am only trying to add a couple 1 unit courses to fill out the schedule.</p>

<p>The application and selection period is during Spring quarter. During the Fall and Winter quarters, selected student facilitators work closely with their faculty mentors in two 1-unit independent study courses (one each quarter) focused on the content-area of their proposed seminar. In addition, selected student facilitators enroll in two 1-unit pedagogy seminars (one each quarter) in which various facilitation strategies and techniques are discussed in preparation for leading a spring seminar. </p>

<p>Does this mean students can enroll 88S during Spring only, then selected students can get 188SA INDIV STD FOR USIE in the following Fall and 188SB in the following Winter? Worth the effort?</p>

<p>I like to know this 88S course and 188SA, SB too. I want to know how many students can be selected or how many hours needed per week for 188SA etc.</p>
