Using Abbreviations in Descriptions

Since the space is limited, is it okay to write abbreviations like “ppl” for people?

Thanks

I wouldn’t write “ppl” for people, but you can use common abbreviations. Like “Soc.” for “Society”.

Basically, you can use common abbreviations, but not so much internet-speak.

will AdCom understand X award (297 people) as “out of 297 people”?

they might, but then again i interpreted it as 297 people won cuz that’s how i put it for mine. three people won in mine

why not 297 participants?

3rd of 297 is sufficient.

Well, it’s like this:

X Person of the Year(297 people)

is that self descriptive?

i dont think that the part in parenth. is necessary.
