Is it good to use Reagan as an example or is it too trite?

If it’s apt, use it.

Who’s that?

The president.

^ lol

I don’t think it’s too trite, but I do think Ronald Reagan is still a polarizing figure for many of us who remember his Presidency.

Your entire essay should be a political screed about the importance of free markets. For good measure, you should do an analysis about the correlation between Democrats, Socialists, and Nazis.

Oh, and it’d be better to cite Sarah Palin — she’s more modern and clearly smarter than that other guy.

kameronsmith are you serious? I prefer Hayek even though he is an old guy.

I’m as serious as a clown at a funeral.

I will probably follow your suggestion and cross my fingers to see if my essay will appear as a sample on the next BB ten years later. Some monetary benefits may even be involved.
btw, I do feel that I would hurt myself if I crossed my fingers for ten years.

The nation’s best President since George Washington! I’m sure you could use examples about him winning the Cold War, etc.

I don’t think it’s trite as long as it’s relevant. If it was Lincoln or JFK, I’d be hesitant. But Reagan- I haven’t heard him used as often.
