The NAVY 2011 bumper stickers are in the Mid Store, so I-Day must be right around the corner. The kicker is when the 2011 Tote Bags are put out! I’m off to get some of those bumper stickers for our Parent’s Club Welcome Aboard Picnic on Saturday!

AHHHHHH!! Get me some!! I hope they’re open on Monday for shopping, 'cause I’ll be there before they open, waiting for my tote bag!! Oh, and T-shirts, and all manner of scrapbooking stuff. HEAVEN!!

OH I WANT A TOTE BAG and a T-Shirt! What else will they have??

EVERYTHING! There’ll probably be a 2011 blanket made of sweatshirt material (v. v. cozy) USNA Mom, Dad and Grandparent shirts, USNA flags, coffee cups, stickers, golf club covers, baby clothes, prints, jewelry, chocolate, baseball caps, coasters, frames, banners, Christmas ornaments, pillows plus all the non-Navy stuff (athletic shoes, clothes, books, CD’s, cards, stationary) Just about everything you could possibly think of! Clear a credit card folks!!!

PS There’ll be 2011 T-shirts with all the names of the entire class printed on the back just like the tote bags…they go early!

Your wardrobe will slowly become dominated by Blue and Gold!!!

I’m okay with that^^^^.

I finally had to go to LL Bean to find polo’s that DIDN’T have anything Navy on them for my husband…everything he had had something to do with USNA! My daughter has just about every Navy T-shirt they make and I don’t even want to tell you what I’ve bought over the years…
I’m going to the Mid Store on Friday to get those bumper stickers so I’ll let you know if they have any new, cool stuff!

Thanks atrmom! And HAVE FUN SHOPPING in ANNAPOLIS!

and, bytheway, it is now 21 days … yes exactly 3 weeks

Thanks! I will…I’ll probably roam the Yard a little bit to see the Skittles doing their thing. The new Supe takes command tomorrow…it should be an interesting year, new Supe, new Commandant, new Senior Enlisted…

and now we are at 20 days

19 days and counting down

Just joined in the fun today. Is it 16 days?

18 days until I-day

we had our Welcome Aboard picnic today to welcome the No. Va plebes to be and you can bet that those kids were counting down too. They were an impressive group of young people, excited and a bit nervous but ready to go!

I told a friend that my wife was gonna cry on Iday while we drive back to our home which is about 2 hrs from the Naval Academy, but I might too. Dont tell anybody.

Your secret is safe with me as long as you do’t tell my son I talk about his underwear :)

Hey do yall know what they can or should bring on I day? I know they provide most everything but what about Running shoes, Dove soap, acne cream, underwear, watch, wallet, money, etc?

Also, we were told by parents from last years plebes that they brought a sub sandwich and a cold gatorade in a small cooler with them on I day just for some refreshment during the 45 minutes or so that we get to talk with them after the induction ceremony which starts at 6pm. Anybody heard other ideas?

Make sure it’s a clear gatorade, the last thing the plebes need is a red or purple stain on those whiteworks. Cell phone, charger, calculator, running shoes etc that’s all they need on I-Day. Everything else is going to end up spending the summer in the backpack in a heap. You can send everything else in a carepackage later

Alumni Lobsterfest down, Going away party down, 17 days to go…

meet the Gov. tomorrow… Plebe Picnic next Sunday!

How time is FLYING!
