<p>For any of you who have participated in USNCO or know people who have, how much weight does advancing to the USNCO study camp give in college admissions? </p>
<p>I’m thinking about studying for the USNCO test(s), but this will take a lot of time and I want to know if the boost in admissions will be large enough to justify this.</p>

<p>Top 20 is pretty powerful but it is given less weight than USPHO camp and much less weight than USAMO (not even considering MOSP). Anyway, it is also far more powerful if you want to major in chem…</p>
<p>With good stats, top schools give a lot weight for the top 20 on USNCO as it is a major award. I know three kids who made to the study camp. One went to Stanford, the other two attended MIT.</p>
<p>According to discussions from previous threads, USNCO is just as powerful as USPHO, USAMO, USABO and USACO, but less powerful than MOSP.</p>
