We live in and file taxes in the US Virgin Islands. We have our own Internal Revenue Bureau. We use IRS forms but do not submit them to the IRS our refunds come from our Internal Revenue Bureau here not the IRS. I have at least one school to which my D has been admitted telling me that we need to submit info using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool - obviously we cannot do this. I have called and left a message, BUT of course they are swamped right now. Has anyone else had experience with this?
I wonder if you are able to get a tax transcript from your own IRB and, if so, they might accept that instead?
