Does anyone know if they send a notification email when your decision is posted?

Congratulations shanzy! Hopefully I’ll get a message like that soon. Did your my status page say that or was it an email from the university?

No, they didn’t send any notification through e-mail. I just checked the My Status page every other day and was very surprised yesterday! The acceptance letters came in today

thats pretty impressive…i took summer classes but i didnt take 18 hour semesters during the year.

you’ll get in…no problem

you might end up retaking some classes because UT requires a certain amnt of credits “in house”

does anyone know if a 3.87 with 39 hours is good enough for chemE or petE?

Does anyone know the stats for getting accepted as a Psychology major? I’m really getting anxious waiting to find out if I got accepted or not /:

Well I’ve been stalking this thread for too long so I finally made an account so I can join the anxiety pool. I have gone from checking my status from once a day to now twice a day. From what I’ve seen in the past on this thread is that most people will find out beginning to mid April. Congrats to the few that have been accepted already!

Current College: ACCD
Current GPA: 3.87
First Choice Major: Speech Language Pathology (College of Communications)
Second Choice Major: Audiology
Courses Completed: 43 Credits

Holla to any COC applicants!

UTdirect is scheduled to go down for maintenance at midnight this Saturday (April 1st)…decision time?!

You should hear very soon if you had enough credits and a good enough GPA (3.5+).

@Xcellerator

Would a 3.51 and 45 hrs almost ensure that I made it into COLA?
I’m getting anxious because I need to know if I should start planning on living in Austin next semester or looking for a place where I am now. Any advice you had would be greatly appreciated haha

@LuckyG

I’m in the same boat. I don’t know whether to start looking for living or not. /: This is really nerve wracking but I hope that @mnaacd is right about decisions being posted up Sunday during maintenance time.

Same here. I’ve been looking at places as well but I don’t wanna get my hopes up and find something I like and not even get in ha. Hopefully we’ll all know really soon.

Hey y’all, I just wanted to give all you transfer hopefuls some words of encouragements. UT-Austin is painfully slow when it comes to processing applicants, so don’t think anything of it if it’s taking them a long time. I received my decision on the last day they can inform you (I’m pretty sure state law sets forth a deadline). Keep you chin up, and if you have the opportunity, ask to meet with an admissions counselor. They’ll usually have you meet with the one that reviews your file, so it’s the closest thing to an interview you’ll get. Best of luck!

Most of you whose posts I’ve looked at have some pretty good credentials, so try not to freak out! Once you’ve been admitted and you’re ready to find housing or a roommate, you should check out this site [Freshman Support - ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■.com](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■.com). I know you’re all prospective transfers, not freshmen, but they have some great resources to help you prepare and get set up in Austin!

@collegeman2011

that was very uplifting lol. i’m going insane…pressing the refresh button every 5 seconds. hopefully we’ll hear something soon guys! praying for us all =)

@collegeman2011 - Thanks! I (and probably everyone else on here) have been checking the MyStatus page 2 or 3 times a day and have yet to breathe a sigh of relief. Do you know when the last day is that they can inform people of decisions?

They inform all transfers of a decisions by May 1

does anyone know what the average gpa for transferring into the engineering school is? or i guess my question really is, what is a good, competitive gpa for cockrell?

I was told by an admissions rep that the average GPA for transfer admits to the engineering school was a 3.7. So, somewhere around there.

thanks! i won’t be hearing back until late may, but i’m still getting extremely nervous about admissions lol
