Thanks for the advice and encouragement! You are right about them taking “painfully” long to make decisions. I love this thread because there’s people here that share the same pain as me! I thought the application process was stressful, but the waiting period is by far the most stressful. Looks like we only have a little more waiting to do :x!

Thanks! 47 credits with a 3.8 gpa from UH! Lots of ecs and volunteer work, also had a letter of rec as well. Im really excited but im also waiting on hearing from some other schools but im most likely going to UT. Cant wait to be a longhorn.

Has anyone else received double notification about FAFSA processing? I got an email a week or two ago right after submitting the form and then another identical one tonight…

Yeah I still havent received an acceptance email lol. But I got the email about the fafsa and I thought it was odd that it said “We will begin processing your application for
student financial aid shortly and notify you when you are awarded.”

Then I checked mystatus to find out that I was accepted lol!

Well, mine is just notification that they have my FAFSA but it still says they won’t process it if and until I am admitted. I just thought it was odd to get the same email twice.
Also, I don’t think they send you an “acceptance” email - just the status page and a physical letter in the mail. Congratulations for your acceptance!

@Locness
Pretty sure they’ll tell you if you’re not admitted.
Just an observation from reading through this thread and past transfer threads:
it seems that COLA usually releases acceptances first. RTF sounds like the slowest. Engineering and CNS are somewhere in between, but I think engineering likes to release most of theirs at the same time.

Was your status posted up at night? Like have you been continuously checking throughout the day and it turns out it started showing up at night? I hope you guys understand my question. I keep checking my account because it seems like you guys noticed your status change later on in the evening or did you just happen to check in the evening?

Goodness, I must sound so odd. UT has made me pretty anxious.

For everyone else, I’m wondering if UT might decline my application because I have too many hours. I have a lot of hours from high school and college but not a lot that apply to my specific major, will that affect whether or not they accept me? Thanks guys and good luck!

And I checked mystatus this afternoon around 12 to see what was up, and then I got an email around 6 about the financial aid stuff and wondered why were they emailing me about it so I checked again.
