UT Austin 2011/12 Transfer Guide

@ss6117
I am with you!Maybe it justa delay from the system,it is stated that My Status will be updated within 24 hours,so we need to rememeber that are tons of applications to be processed. Let’s wait one more day!

@ Hellomartha

Yes! I’m proud to say that I am both an American and Texan!

@BioscienceMajor… Excuse me to ask but have you called them these days?
I need to stop checking my status everyday and receive a accurate deadline form them!

@ Evelyn

No I haven’t called. I’m using the information that was provided to me online.

Timing for Admissions Decisions for domestic transfer applicants:

We review each application individually and consider each in relation to the admission factors for the university and for the major(s) to which each applicant applies. As a result, there isn’t a specific date by which we make decisions.

If an applicant’s qualifications are outstanding, he or she may be notified relatively early in the application cycle.
However, because many majors are competitive, most decisions are made only after we know the qualifications of the entire pool of applicants (following the application deadline).
Most applicants to the summer/fall semester are notified near the end of May.
Most spring semester applicants are notified in November.
Admission decisions for spring applicants who are working on completing the last of their 30 hours of required coursework during the fall semester cannot receive an admission decision until they submit their final transcripts. Applicants in this situation should submit their final fall semester transcripts as soon as possible after the semester is completed.

Once we make a decision about your admission, we’ll notify you through MyStatus within 24 hours of your decision and by mail as soon as possible.

ugghhh these two weeks are awful! I’m stressing every single test!! I have yet to finish my 30 hours so these two weeks could be the difference between getting accepted or rejected!!

My wife is too. She knows an A in her calc 2 class means she’s probably in, and a B means she’s not. I’ve never seen her study so much or so hard.

i have an A in calc 2 =] there’s no way I can mess it up anymore.

now for my chem and english finals…next week…

So basically…we weren’t good enough to be accepted immediately but we weren’t bad enough to be denied immediately. So now they’re looking at the whole applicant pool and deciding.
o boy…this is gonna be a fun wait.

@ locness

Exactly!

lol we should all at least meet for a brief moment sometime -_-

The Admissions Office recieved my financial aid information today, and sent me a special message with some details. Is this a good sign or normal procedure? I am new to this…

W.S.C.

@WCvolvo

Does it say that they’ve started processing it? If so then you may want to check your MyStatus page because they don’t process your funds until you’ve officially been accepted so…

@WCvolvo

I think you have been accepted as well. I remember getting a financial aid letter in the mail for Texas A&M and then two days later online, it say I am accepted.

Attention fellas, here is what the admission officer responded after I emailed them.

The decision committee is reviewing applications at this time and will be completed later this week. I do not know the exact time, but I know they will complete the review this week and decisions will be posted to the web status check. You will receive an email notification when your decision has been entered on your application.

Best of luck to all of you(and of course, me). Less than 48 hours left.

@lamarcus, thank you for this great news

bobbyn212:

Perhaps… though I do not have the required 30 hours of coursework. I had Calculus III (engineering applicant) which might have been an “indicator” course, allowing them to make an early decision. I imagine I won’t hear from them until this semester’s grades are posted and my final transcript is sent too. I suppose I don’t have any choice… I certainly hate this waiting… Thanks for writing back.

W.S.C.

I’ve been standing for posting “congratulations” for days…

I guess some people made C’s or D’s in final transcript last year after they got accepted. That’s why the admission office becomes so cautious, especially of MATH grades, but I don’t know why it takes so long.

How’s everyone holding up? No fret my friends, we will prevail! At least I hope we do??? lol

Status update :

“Your application for admission is in review.
We have all the items we need to make your admission decision. As soon as yourdecision is made,it’ll be posted on this page andyou’llbe notified by mail.”

Hum my status still the same,it is stated they will not post me the answer by mail,is this an indication they will reject me?

@Evelynnchou

No! Lol don’t over think it. I only think they send out mail acceptances to in-state applicants, MAYBE out-of-state applicants as well. But don’t quote me on that. Regardless, you’ll be fine =)
