UT austin 2017/2018 Transfer Thread

@jumpo69 no this is just my overall GPA here at austin community college. I’ve been saying i have a 3.7 and I checked recently and it’s a 3.66. So It’s lower than I thought it was and RTF is crazy selective so now im even more nervous

Does anyone have any good apartment suggestions? The place I was looking at just went up in price and 800$ a month is a little too pricey for me.

Are releases usually right on the dot?

Just got accepted into RTF!! I’ve seen a few RTF hopefuls on here, so hopefully y’all hear something soon!

Just called admissions and the lady said the decisions are “trickling very, very slowly” and no way are they done releasing them. So just stay strong everyone!

God it’s hard seeing people getting accepted when I still haven’t heard anything back… fingers crossed that my 3.41 is even remotely competitive for COLA

Sorry guys, I got too excited about getting in, but here are my stats.
Transferring from Alamo Colleges in SA
First Choice major: RTF
Second Choice: Mexican American Studies
GPA: 4.0
57 credits so far, will transfer with 66.
1 LOR
I would say pretty good essays that incorporated both my major choices well and related to each other.
Good ECs, Volunteer work, and Work experience.
(If it helps anyone, I took 4 years off of high school before going to college).
Didn’t get an email, just checked UT Direct.
Good luck to everyone else!

ugh can moody just like hurry…

I just got admitted to COLA for philosophy!!!

4.0 / 3 LOR. / 44 hrs :)))

@filmdweeb93 Congrats!!! I’m RTF as well, so I’m glad to see responses starting to go out!

@adam12321 RTF is Moody, so it looks like some are starting to trickle out

Is anyone else here a geography major? I need COLA to hurry up!

I just got accepted into COLA, too! (Psychology)
4.0 GPA/~70 credit hours/0 LOR/ok essays/Good ECs

It looks like the higher GPAs are getting their answers… anyone else noticing that trend or am I mistaken?

@OGmandyV I’ve noticed this too. Not too many people below 4.0 have been accepted if any so far.

Can everyone see the interactive degree audit? mine does not show anything.

@adam12321 I think it depends if you submitted your transcripts electronically or not.

I have a 4.0 and I’m applying to COLA so fingers crossed I hear back soon. But I only have 27 hours and it look like they are doing people with the most hours first.

For anyone that got admitted, did you get your financial aid award immediately or no? When I try to check my financial aid status, it says it’s being processed and to come back in 2 weeks. However, it says I must accept or deny my admissions offer by May 16th??? Hopefully my financial aid gets processed before that…

Does every applicant have an audit? If yes, how can I find it?

@Saba you make your own - if you click the magnifying lens on the top right of the MyStatus page and search “degree audit” you should be able to find it, then once you’re on the page click “audit requests” and then you can make a new one. It’ll automatically have the courses you have on file from the most recent transcript(s) you sent in.
