Does anyone know if you can change your major if you’re accepted. I’m not sure about my first choice major anymore and might want to switch over the my second choice (both in COLA). Is it possible to switch majors during an orientation session?

@rusalochkaa I believe you would have to internally transfer, unless the major is an “open” major. Being both in COLA I could see this being possible.

I just checked my status, (seems like it’s back online), I’m still in review. My sincere apologies to all those who didn’t get in, it seems today was denial day for Liberal Arts students but it is UT so we can’t really be sure. To all those who got in, congrats, and to the rest who are still anxiously waiting, GOODLUCK because we may need a lot of it

Still in review for COLA Sociology… Really feeling for those who were denied, although it may feel like the end of the world for some of you i promise that there will be bigger and better things to come.

Any moody decisions?

@adrian3243 Did you get an email from UT Austin telling you that there’s an update on your portal, check your account?

@student12322 no I did not. I don’t think you get an email at all.

When i called a few days ago, they said they accepted way too many freshmen than they had done in the past years. Therefore, they are only accepting half the number of transfers than they expected. Not trying to stress yall out just trying to justify why someone with internships and a great essay would get rejected.
