@tigger68 thank you! I wish you good luck as well
Has anyone had success with the appeals process?
My appeal was denied. Even after several legislators (state and federal) called in support of my appeal. I’m starting to believe that when it comes to certain decisions getting into UT isn’t about what you know, but about who you know.
Anyone from CS still waiting to hear back from an appeal?
Been almost two weeks now.
@adrian3243 That doesn’t really make sense because if it was about who you know, you should have been accepted after legislators supported you. For UT it’s all about the GPA and sometimes even then they reject some very qualified people for no reason
Hey there, I’m wanting to apply to nursing. What were your stats if you don’t mind posting? & what’s plan B? @prayingUTGuy01
@imickey17 Hey, will you post and @ me as soon as you hear back. Also, could you compare your stats in class and volunteer nursing ? thanks!
@okayjj let me know when you hear back! Have you posted stats? I’d love to see how fellow nursing students are doing
@heythere520 can you post stats?
@Chipaton hey I know this is SUPER late in regards to your “I have nowhere to live” post, but I’m desperate to get someone to sublease my room in the Local Downtown. You’d be a block from the square and like a 10-15 minute walk to the quad, and the rent is only $811 if you add on parking (which, let’s face it, is ESSENTIAL in San Marcos)
has anyone received the decision of appeal yet?
I have a 3.14 GPA and want to transfer to the college of natural science. I struggled my first year and since then been getting As in all math and science coursework. Should i even bother to apply ?
I want to transfer to natural science- computer science. I am currently enrolled at a local junior college, I’ve attended ACC previously and another university. How would they calculate my GPA? an average of all 3? if so, I am worried because when I first started college I didn’t try and failed 2 classes. Took a couple of years off and now I have been making all A’s.
Appeal got denied. Best of luck to all other appeals and to anybody who is trying to apply!
Appeal was accepted today! My GPA was 3.93 for last fall and had a 4.0 for spring. I just appealed with my transcript from spring and they just accepted me today. COLA transfer into government.
Hi everyone! I am planning to apply to UT for Spring 2019. I am a freshman in a community college rn. I took my SAT 2 years ago, when I was in high school but the score was not too good, it was around 1000. So before applying to UT for transfer I just wanted to know do I really have to take SAT or ACT again? Do you guys think the score matters or do they ask for it when you are transferring? I’d be really grateful if someone can help me with it.
As long as you have the required number of hours you will be treated as a transfer student and your ACT or SAT scores will not be required. Do not upload them to your application if your scores are low.
TG1008 Unfortunately you are required to submit transcripts for all of your college coursework.
I am applying to Moody for Advertising for Fall 2019 as an external transfer from ACC. I am wondering what my chances are for being accepted.
I will have 30 hours and 4.0 GPA. I will also have at least 3 LORs from local attorneys as I am a legal assistant (4 years experience) and I am going to ask one of my professors as well. I do not have any EC. My essays should be very good to excellent. I am also in the Honors program at ACC w/ two honors classes (Speech and English II)
Would having my second choice as a COLA major be beneficial to transfer internally to Advertising at a later time?
@collegegrrrl You have an excellent chance. Try to do some volunteering to add some EC’s there are plenty of opportunities for that in Austin. You will pick a second chance major but with your GPA you should be fine for advertising.
