I have the cash link on mine but I did not apply for FA
@jackswift My D got in OOS and is not top 10% (although our school does not officially rank they provide percentile breakdowns in our school report). Good Luck! Hook 'em!
What does the cash link mean? What website does the link send you to?
@kelly123s yes, completed FAFSA in October.
My DD applied in-state, priority, and her financial aid has had no change, still says coming months. We applied for financial aid in the fall. Hope that isn’t a bad sign for her.
At this point all of the guessing is futile lol
Hopefully all Priority applicants will receive answers by or on Thursday. Good luck everyone!
We have had the CASH link since early this month but the site it links to in not live yet.
No cash link here so maybe it means something good for y’all. Mine says you haven’t applied and to check back but doesn’t say weeks or months. Just open ended.
Actually it says this so… not looking good for my son.
<<< ERROR >>>
The CASH system and its services are solely for current University of Texas at Austin students, returning students who are eligible to enroll at the University, and students who have been newly admitted to the University. Our records indicate that you are not eligible. For further assistance, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at (512)475-6282.
I wouldn’t put so much emphasis on something as little as a tab. Don’t let a detail discourage you. Whatever happens will happen; save the worry and paranoia for Feb 1/Mar 1 lol
Here is what it says for us:
Please check back.
We have not received your application for financial assistance. Please see http://finaid.utexas.edu/ for how to apply.
Freshman Scholarship Application
We have received your Freshman Scholarship Application for 2018.
I’m starting to get nervous that I don’t have that link
so on feb 1, its only admitted or deffered decisions right? no denials?
anyone on here know about how they decide who gets admitted for CNS? I wish I knew more about the process
@ajipop denials happen all the time. Priority decision release tend to defer more students than it rejects, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any denials.
@kvpop1 33 is not bad at all!! In fact, I think 33 on math still puts you on the 99th percentile! You should be proud of it Best of luck!
Everyone read! I messaged UT Austin on Twitter if there were going to be deferrals on Thursday and they responded this:
“No, we will not be issuing any deferrals. Students who applied to Fine Arts and Architecture will receive a notification that those programs need more time to give them a final decision. Because their applications include additional elements like portfolios, they are still in the application review process and do not plan to send out decisions by Feb. 1. All other students who completed their application by the priority deadline will receive a final admission decision on or by Feb. 1.”
@18class That’s great news. I’m hoping that ‘on or by Feb. 1’ means that they’ll be releasing decisions tomorrow too.
Architecture does not take portfolios from freshman applicants.
@kelly123s mine also says check in two weeks.
Does yours? The Admissions Counselor I just spoke to was very helpful. She says the system programmers linked to financial aid seem to be working ahead of Admissions but are unable to release any information on that tab until decisions come out on Feb 1 (then and added well that is the target date).
