UT Austin class of c/o 2022 admissions

@tb2000 I know… But it’s a joke

is this time for everyone or still only 17,000 ??

in review

Think they’ll do decisions alphabetically or…? Like today is A-K and tomorrow is L-Z

@18class I never believed that 17000 one day and 17000 the next. I dont think there are 34000 priority apps remaining first of all. Second of all- i dont see them handing out rejections until the last day- which is tomorrow and I dont think 17000 people from Priority will get in- i think a good third or more of the applicants were not in by priority date. this is just my opinion nothing to base it on but the numbers seem way out of whack to me

U@utbiodude i think they are all coming tomorrow- not today. it is getting late. If they do come today- it wont surprise me for all of the decisions to be up all at once.

@tbh2000 yeah I was kind of confused about that also… hopefully they just send them all out today because I can’t do this all over again tomorrow!!!

Does anyone know if they will release them at midnight tonight or will the waiting game continue tomorrow?

This is ridiculous, I submitted in September, I just want to know either way at this point!!

I’m thinking it’s possible today because their twitter says on or before Feb 1

@hookem22 I have never seen them release at any time but afternoon/early evening. I heard once of a small wave in the morning like in 2015- but can not confirm. This year have been afternoon. One year they rolled them out starting at 330 or 4- my son’s came after 5 that day but not a lot after 5.

still in review…

still in review as well

I asked admissions via Twitter if they intended to tell priority applicants that they will have to wait until March and their response was: “If you completed your application by Nov. 1, you will receive a final admissions decision - an acceptance, denial, or an invitation to an alternate entrance plan - on or before Feb. 1.” They went on to list exceptions including fine arts, architecture and honors. So at least we all know that it will be today or tomorrow!

Wait what is the exception with honors?

Regarding time of day, last year my daughter’s acceptance email (to McCombs) came in on the 3rd Friday of February (the 17th) at 4:15 pm CST. She was unranked.

Any1 think a waves coming in 25 mins?

I do

Not to be cynical but the comment: “If you completed your application by Nov. 1, you will receive a final admissions decision - an acceptance, denial, or an invitation to an alternate entrance plan - on or before Feb. 1” is really meaningless for auto-admits. Auto-admits have already been admitted. Just waiting on a major decision. The statement above does not seem to guarantee that.

I hope!
