My GPA was 3.7, 2 decent essays, and lots of volunteer hours!

Just spoke with admissions on Moody and she said theyāre delayed with their decisions on journalism majors and the vast majority of decisions havenāt came out. She said , that their trying to move fast so it can be today .

Does anyone know the situation with COLA decisions? My application didnāt even go into review until 6/1 so Iām not expecting Iāll hear anything this early but Iām nervous there arenāt many spots left.
@elehroblestv exciting news but now that just makes me more anxious and iāll be disappointed if I donāt hear back today!

Accepted to Cockrell yesterday at 7 PM for mechanical engineering. 4.0 GPA,
2 LOR. 60+ credits. More stats if requested

I emailed admissions and called Moodyās admissions aswell, and they told me that Moody is usually the last on journalism because itās the least major people apply to. it was a student - worker speaking on Moodyās side , but itās hard to know Bc they are super generic with their answers.
But my stats are
3.3( YES, my gpa SUCKS) Iām dying
I have over 80 credits
2 associates -1 in GE, and the other one in Broadcast Journalism
Over 500+ hours
3 LOR , 1 from my professor in the sports journalism ( fox sports) Geography Professor, for weather meteorologists purposes , and 1 from my Spanish professor for bilingual purposes.
Resume : 3-pages long I used novoresume
I provided a picture so they can put a face to my application
2- strong essays, I reviewed them ( I guess it a bit easy when you are in journalism bc all we do is revise and write! But Moody is making me doubt myself .
I told them I just needed 1-year to finish my BA in journalism , hopefully theyāll consider this .
I work at cbs/telemundo here in ATX ( this could be a reason not to give me a spot since I work in journalism already:( as an MMJ
Worked/ intern at Warner bros, paramount, rich esien, nfl in Culver City, alot of filmmaking Experince since 13- years old
Volunteer international for hostels around Mexico, Europe , and all USA
A lot of journalism Experince, NAHJ, NABJ, NAAJ , APTRA, mostly opportunities because I am from Los Angeles and Iām from Hollywood . But they probably hate that.

@veee95 no youāre good! According to the office of admissions, āno news is good newsā as of right now. They go through applications in groups, so yours has most likely not been in one of those groups that has heard backā¦ Iām in the same boat
