Just thought I’d post a little more info on son’s acceptance to COFA Design: External transfer. Formerly OOS college (freshman year) and at ACC part time for last year or two. Somewhat low GPA by UT standards but otherwise really great portfolio and related resume, multiple LORs, and what I would consider good essays. I’m sending him the groupMe and discord info. We are from Austin and plan to start the housing search today. He’s currently in a really great apartment closer to ACC Highlands but hoping to get him into the west campus area.
Truly best of luck to everyone. My older daughter attempted switching to UT after being OOS. She didn’t get in but now lives and works in the North Campus area and commutes to TXST twice a week so know that it’s possible to do that!

Daughter accepted tonight to UT Austin, Moody, for Communications Sciences & Disorders (Speech Pathology). She will be a sophomore transfer this fall. CAP student. 3.88 GPA. 32 hours from UTSA and 20 hours dual credit from high school.

Got accepted into CNS for Computer Science! 4.0 GPA, 62 hours, in state
Got accepted into Education for Youth & Community Studies. 73 hours, 3.86 GPA, lots of volunteer hours. In-state. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

They had: 40 hours, 4.0 GPA, lots of volunteer hours including an internship, in-state!
I got my acceptance today!
Major: RTF, GPA: 4.0 from an in-state community college, 27 transferable credits, 2 strong essays, 3 letters of rec, and an extended resume with many activities related to RTF. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for their decisions!

I applied to petroleum engineering. My GPA was 3.85 all As except for a dual enrollment class in high school. I finished calculus3 this spring along with gen chem 2 and uni physics 2. I had a pretty good resume I would say. I worked 2 jobs. One of them was for the dean. Both of my parents are engineers but I’m first to go to school here in the US. My essays were not perfect but they were real and showed a lot about me. I followed the ut admission guy formula for writing them. The second essay I think it was E. I talked about an issue concerning my major. I went to hcc so instate. I think that’s everything. Congrats to everyone!
