Mine says complete too but not in review
Mine says it is in review now
I heard that Spring spots are mostly given to transfer students who are eligible for auto admin… How difficult is it to get in without auto? I have a 3.85 GPA 27 hours applying to Urban Studies in the College of Liberal Arts?
@drojes possibly spots in COLA as auto admins are eligible for auto into COLA, not sure though
@rangerfan34 mine changed to “in review now” today as well
Me too.
Mine says in review now idk how many days will it take for them to post the decision tho? Any idea? 3 wks?
Looking at last year’s thread, they didn’t start releasing decisions until 11/16/2017. And it was randomly released, although it appeared that majors in the CNS found out sooner than majors COLA…but CNS majors still found out later. It didn’t matter when anyone applied - they didn’t look at that. That’s all I got from reading the threads. LOL.
Oh and my daughter’s status changed to “Application for admission is in review” yesterday.
I am in review too as well, esskitit
My status changed to in review yesterday too.
mid November I believe
Do you guys know whether having calculus as an AP credit hurts your chances or not? I followed the UT transfer guide but I just did not take Calculus since I had an AP Calculus BC credit from high school.
Just some background info:
Major Applied for: Neuroscience
GPA: 4.0
Credit hr: 52
LoR: 3
ECC: Tons of leadership positions in High school and 80+ hr volunteer
Essays: Worked super hard on them, I think they’re really good
I applied for Fall 2018 at the beginning of this year and got denied, but I did not put a lot of effort into my essays tbh. I also (as seen on the comment above) have not taken Calculus or Biology since I have AP credits for them. Thoughts on my chances? I genuinely am nervous since I got denied previously
If you have 50 university hours, & a 4.0 gpa, with very good LOR’s you aren’t going to have any issues mate. Those with less than 45 university hours will need to have very, very good grades. I have a degree already so I’m in your same situation imho. That’s my £2 of opinion;-)
I think you have really good chance of getting in do let us know if you get in best of luck!
@Sith77 They are community college hours and Thanks!
@utbabe Thank you, I for sure will post whether I get in or not!
Is it true that not a lot of people apply for spring semester and people who apply have a higher/better chance of getting in?
I’ve heard that, but who knows whether or not if its factual. The acceptance rate I “think” is 40%. There’s no way everyone walking on campus regardless of major is a 3.7 and higher gpa student. UT uses a holistic approach when evaluating applicants. Essays, resume’, and LOR’s do matter.
Will they notify us first by email that a decision is posted on my status or do we check it everyday to see if something is posted?
@utbabe They will send you an email saying that your mystatus page has been updated.
