UT Austin v Rhodes College

Looking for advice on campus life and compare UT Austin v Rhodes College in Memphis

I attended Rhodes College last semester, and am actually transferring to UT Austin in the fall. Would definitely recommend UT Austin.

I graduated from Rhodes with a great education, lots of friends, internship/job offers all over the country, and nothing but positive feelings about the school. No doubt that UT Austin is a good school; it is simply nothing like Rhodes in terms of experience, for good or bad. If money is a big factor, or if the smaller scene at Rhodes isn’t for you, then it might be best to transfer to UT. Otherwise, outside of Texas, UT tends to be viewed as “just another big state school” - so you may have to push extra hard to distinguish yourself. The campus life tends to be a reflection of the students - a smaller student body may leave you feeling a bit claustrophobic, but the large student body at UT can be overwhelming. Ultimately, both good schools, but if you think you want to live outside TX, it may be wise to consider Rhodes.
