@LvMyKids2 The BHP admissions process and McCombs admissions process are completely separate. UT is notorious for its lack of transparency about the admissions process, so nobody really knows how the offices go through applications and in what order.
Anyone know about when the last rounds of interviews and acceptances to BHP occur? According to last year’s (2022) thread, it seems like the last rounds happened around late January/early February.
Just had my interview – interviewer said had 4-5 canned questions he was required to ask, mostly behavioral questions.
He had seen my résumé already.
Son got accepted into McCombs (regular program) today! Still waiting/hoping for BHP interview. Fingers crossed. Hook ‘em horns!
Does anyone know if it helps or hurts your chances of getting into BHP if you go ahead and accept the offer for McCombs before hearing a decision from BHP?

Let us open that can of worms --BHP vs McCombs! read a lot last year and even this year some parents and students in this forum that have complained about the opportunities and rigor between the two…and since you mentioned BHP along with your acceptance? was wondering which camp are you?
@kg2013. Actually, at this point we don’t really know the finer details (pros and cons) about the two programs. Would be interested if someone out there can give us some insight. UTA (BHP or not ) is one of my son’s top choices though. Before final decision time, we hope to visit UT again to learn more about the programs and talk to current students. We are from OOS.

Yes, from whatever I have read, there are many companies that come to UT to just recruit BHP and also, there are courses that are open to only BHP students…
Despite all the cons, McCombs still was ranked #11 in the country for 2018 according P&Q (more data based & taking more factors ranking than opinion based ranking of US News)…
Bottom line: You are getting a Top 11 College Program Experience!!
Has anyone that applied priority decision got admissions call recently from BHP. This tear trend appears to be different than last time.

@BinBon I don’t believe any other calls have been made since mid-December. I applied priority and got an interview early December; still no updates. 
My OOS daughter applied in late October with her Honors app in by November 1. She was accepted to McCombs in early December. She is the only one in our school that has gotten into McCombs out of about 15 or so acceptances (although there may be some others that have been accepted to UT and not told anyone). She has not however, heard anything from BHP so we are wondering if that ship has sailed? It was shocking to get her acceptance so early in the process since they had told her she wouldn’t hear before February, but now not hearing anything from BHP is sort of a bummer.
Does anyone know when they stop sending interview emails?
Also, we know she can apply for BHP after freshman year, but what happens if she is already entering McCombs as a sophomore due to the amount of AP credits? Does she still then wait until after she completes 1 year on campus or is it after she completes certain business courses?
Last year my child was accepted into McCombs and Plan 2 in December, interviewed beginning of October for BHP, but didn’t hear anything from BHP until Jan 31 when he was told they needed more time…so I guess a deferral. I think almost everyone else heard right around Jan 31, but he was not accepted until early February, I believe.
This year is definitely going differently, but don’t give up hope! You are almost there and this next round of acceptances was definitely bigger than the first!
@xtexasmom Thanks. She hasn’t even received an email about an interview, so you were way ahead of the game compared to us last year. But I do agree things appear to be different this year.
I wonder if the delay since we are OOS and that as other students start to decline their acceptances then maybe they will know more about their spaces and perhaps grant her an interview. It’s annoying seeing that “your honors application is in review” constantly!

I got into BHP!!! They sent me an email today saying there was an update to MyStatus and it showed I had been accepted
