UT CAP to Engineering (ECE)

After thinking it through during my time at UT Arlington, I’ve finalized my decision to plan in majoring in ECE. Initially I had thought of pursuing a degree in CS, but my lack of programming experience and the difficulty of transferring into the program deterred me away. Anyway, this is pretty much a “chance me” thread, but with the course that I’m taking during my CAP year. Based on the ECE degree plan, how do my courses fair?

Fall (2014) -

 1. ENGL 1302 (Rhetoric and Comp. II / RHE 309K)
 2. SOCI 1311 (Intro. to Sociology / SOC 302)
 3. ART 1301 (Art Appreciation / ARH 301)
 4. CHEM 1442 (General Chemistry II / CH 302)
 5. MATH 1426 (Calculus 1 / M 408K)

Spring (2015) -

 1. ENGL 2309 (World Literature / E 316N)
 2. POLS 2312 (Texas Govt. / GOV 3 TX)
 3. MATH 2425 (Calculus 2 / M 408L)
 4. PHYS 1443 (Engineering Physics 1 / PHY 303K)

In addition, I have 29 transferable credit hours. However, I don’t expect for most of them to apply to my degree plan. I made a 4.0 GPA this fall, and have high hopes for next semester. With this course load, would I have a good shot at getting in? It would be great to get some input.
