Does anybody know if the GPA requirement of 3.6 is weighted on un-weighted?

I imagine this is what you are referring to.
To me this is pretty clear: a 3.6 GPA OR top 10% in your graduating class. To me this implies un-weighted for sure. However some universities will have their own formula for GPA that includes only core and language classes, thus taking out PE, arts, athletics, electives, etc. I think that should be your question, and I think your best source of information will be the contacts listed on the above page.
I’m pretty sure it’s unweighted. UTD told me three years ago that they unweight any grades that are sent in when considering students for scholarships and Collegium V. CV is a great program. My dd is in her 4th semester at UTD now. With CV, she has always been in the second batch of students to register (first batch is graduating seniors). The only classes she has had problems getting into are the Honors classes that only CV students can register for.
So, in your opinion @awintx , should I even bother applying to Collegium V if my un-weighted GPA is below a 3.6 (although my weighted GPA is well above that and my test scores are 99th percentile)? My dad has been adamantly insisting that they look at weighted GPA, but I’m not too sure…
You might as well apply. They look at the rigor of what you took as well. It can’t hurt to apply since there is no additional fee. I don’t know how much they weight GPA vs. test scores. Also, are you in the top 10% of your class? The admission requirements say 3.6 GPA OR top 10%.
