UT Dorms

I live in Prather and I like it alot. It’s not quiet at all. as i write this there are about 15 people talking and drinking in the hall.

hmm…

i visited UT last week and stayed with my friend in jester. honestly, it’s not as bad as everyone says it is. and if you’re worried about getting work done, go to the PCL (it’s right across the street from jester). PCL has a reputation for being extremely quiet… like… pindrop silence quiet. some people can’t take it because it’s so amazingly quiet.

also, i think staying at jester is almost part of the college experience. im a senior this year and going to UT next year, and my first choice is jester. why? because despite the comforts of some of the other dorms, you get to interact more with real people in jester. that’s one of the great things about UT, that it’s so diverse. my cousin stayed in an honors dorm his first year, but moved to jester his second year, for this purpose alone, to be around more diverse people. interacting with these types of people really prepares you for the real world, especially if you’re a sheltered kid (like me).

anyways, that’s just my stance on it.
