Is it easier to get into BCM through UT Austin or Baylor University.
Please give me all your info.

I would think they would give just a little more preference to students from Baylor. I’m not sure though. It all depends on your GPA and MCAT scores. Either way you’re still instate and I do know they give preference to instate kids rather than out of state students.

And UT has sent ~30-35 kids to BCM from 07-08.

Baylor College of Medicine is not affiliated with Baylor University so BCM s/b be indifferent as to whether an applicant went to UT or Baylor.

BTW, Rice and Baylor may be merging.

Clarification - Rice and BCM may be merging.

Yes, Baylor College of Medicine, under Debakey, cut all ties with Baylor university. Thus, there should not be any preference for either school.

Just wondering forcc can you tell me where you got those stats from UT. I’m curious about their matriculation rate to med schools.
