UT Judicial Board

I keep receiving emails about UT Judicial Board. I understand this board meets every week to discuss the policy violations in the residential hall. I was wondering if the board receives recognition on campus. I def do not want to waste my time since this board requires a lot of dedication.

Not really. I almost joined it. I think it’s part of the University Residence Hall Association. It’s organized and does take time away that you could be using to be studying or partying or whatever. Outside of it though - no one really cares! If you have friends who might get rowdy, it could be nice to be on the inside if they were to get in trouble. It’s something to put on a resum

The judicial board actually sits and hears cases of students who have violated policy. They don’t patrol the halls, and they don’t have any “special” priviledges, but if you are wanting to become an RA at any point, getting involved can only help your cause.
