UT spring transfer 2020 thread.

okay. so the gpa on my transcript is the one they will use when evaluating me?

@Utex2020 I know from last years thread majority of people’s status
Didn’t Change to “In review” till the 14-16

@TroianBacon I feel like this thread is kinda empty b/c last year and several other threads kinda have all the info some people need. Idk about others but that’s the case for me lol but I like staying in this years spring thread to get a new idea

OK thx! Tired of hitting the refresh button

When do you guys think most of us will hear back?

A quick look at prior Spring transfer threads suggests somewhere between mid-November to first week of December. OTOH, the UT admissions gods do like to shake things up now and then to keep things interesting. Bah! What they see as “interesting” is just plain nerve-wracking to us. Sadists, every one of them.

@BenDubbed I know right! I am dying over here.

just checking in to make sure everyone is alive. It has been pretty quiet for the past week

Still alive!

Alive and still stupidly hitting that “refresh” button ten times a day. Got acceptance notices from my other two schools, but I’m holding out for UT Austin. Nothing else even comes close.

So is everyone’s MyStatus still showing as “Your application for admission is complete”? What should we be looking for next – “Your application for admission is in review,” or does it go straight to an “acceptance/evil alternative” status? Prior years’ postings really weren’t too clear on the process.

i believe it turns to “in review”

You’re right, joshua2018. Thanks! I just spent the evening reading through all last years’ transfer threads and the process progression is a lot clearer now. “In review” is the next stage, but that probably won’t happen for a while yet, if last year’s threads are any indication.

new here but I applied for English. 3.95 gpa. great resume and essays, I think! Just nervous because the website used to say most decisions sent in November but now it says by mid-january. which is way to late for me to notify my current school. In a sticky situation to say the least. hoping for the best for everyone

also I’m out of state. Haven’t figured out if that will make it harder for me to get in

Awesome GPA, bsreatx. That’s interesting about the switch from November to mid-January. I’m curious where you saw that – was it on the UT Transfer page info?

I just checked the Admissions Decision page. It says that, for Spring 2020 transfers, most decisions will be released in November, with international transfers in mid-November, and that everyone should have a decision by Mid-January. That’s pretty much what happened with the 2019 Spring transfer applicants, too. Many of the late-decisions were for applicants needing to finish up their Fall 2019 semester and send their grades in.

I just saw it change on the MyStatus page. But that makes perfect sense. Early November would be amazing but could hold out until December at the latest if it comes to that

anybody in COLA in review yet?

Anyone for CNS in review yet?
