Does anyone know the exact number of spots available for the Spring? For the Fall, it seems like the amount hovers around 1,000.
@TroianBacon there’s never an exact number of available spots for spring and fall, the spring semester tends to be less predictable than the fall every year.
UT doesn’t release those stats, and there’s no useful data for extrapolation purposes in advance. And it varies from year to year, from college to college. It’s clearer for the fall applicants, because UT always needs to refill the spaces left vacant by the prior graduating class, at minimum. But even then, they need to keep a steady number of students in the pipeline between freshmen and transfers.
Sorry, GalaxyRose20 – I didn’t see your post until I posted just now. Didn’t mean to parrot what you’d already said!
I am counting down the days until Thanksgiving break! Hopefully, I’ll have my decision by then.
@BenDubbed lol you’re totally fine!
A ut transfer representative came to my school today to answer some questions and they told us that decisions should start rolling out from November 15th til January
Finally in review status. Social Work Pre-major. I did not find acceptance info in any thread. Wish me luck!
@tcho07 thanks for the update! Did the representative say if the decisions that are rolling out first are for specific majors or is it all random?
@TroianBacon he didn’t say anything about that, but I would assume random.
Happy Halloween! Just checking in to make sure everyone is still alive and well.
Alive, well, and thriving
Is anyone in here a psychology (BA) major or sociology ?
We should be getting the first batch of decisions later this month. I’m so nervous.
I am thinking first batch on the 15th. I check twice a day already
Same! I am really hoping for good news.
Utex2020, I’ll see your November 15th and raise it to “12:01 a.m.” on the 16th.
(UT Transfer Admissions is definitely high stakes poker! )
Been seeing freshman spring 2020 non auto have received acceptance already, so hopefully we can start getting some transfers in shortly.
Anyone else frantically refreshing their portal or is it just me?
Hey all
I’m an international student transfer applicant currently at ACC. I’m applying as an international relations major and government as my second choice major.
I applied with 39 hours completed, and by the end of this semester I’ll have 51. I applied with a 3.25 GPA, which I know is not ideal. But I have a very strong resume with plenty of work experience, internship for state legislator, community service, my own club, student government, chair of community service and engagement, intramural sports, and tri-limgual. As for LOR I have two very good ones ( one from state legislator, and both UT alumni). Strong essays detailing extenuating family and financial circumstances in one.
I’d greatly appreciate if someone could gauge my chances, thanks!
Has anyone found out yet?
