help…
I have been admitted to uta , utd , smu( i forget about smu due that i do not want any loans). Ok uta offered 90 % grants and +10% scholarship covering almost 100% my tutition !!free!!. However i do not know how much utd could paid in grants for school. I am scared if i declined uta grants , utd might offered a grant but not enought to cover my complete school tutition. If it helps my EFC is :278. Please help. I was seriously thinking into declining my grants just to see how much i could get in financial aid at utd? did someone know how much they offer as grant pell , etc? help… thank you.

I have no idea what you are asking. Your post makes no sense. Why would you turn down grants? What would turning down grants at one school have to do with what another school might offer you?

Your post does not make sense. Usually grants and scholarships are the same in that they are money given to you that directly reduces your cost. How much is UT-A going to cost you without loans or work study? How much is UT-D going to cost you? How would declining grants at one, give let you know what the other is going to give you?

With a family EFC of $278, you should go to the school that costs you and your family the least.

The problem is that i accepted the grant at uta ( mav grant). According per information i have read if you accept pell grant in one school you can not be able to recieved in other one.
UTD- only offer me loans , and it the awards letter did not provide any grants in my awards.
My conclusion is why utd has not offer a grant?,
is that becouse i accepted the grant at uta?
If that is the case what can i do?
I hope that makes my questions more clearly…lol… still at work…

All the schools you have applied for aid at can offer you a Pell. You can only actually receive the Pell from the one you ultimately attend. But being offered it at one does not preclude you being offered it at the other.

You should ask UTD why they did not offer you the Pell. With your EFC they should have (assuming you are otherwise eligible).

Thank you for help.
