UTA says the will not add my late Recommendation Letters

Hi

University of Texas at Austin told me

“If we receive the letter after the deadline, we can hold it. We cannot add anything to applications after the deadline unless the committee specifically asks for it.”

Do you think this would severely affect my admission prospects?

I would guess this will not affect your chances. If the committee likes what they see in your file, they will contact the graduate school, or even you directly, to get the letters. If the rest of your file is strong enough to merit a careful look, you will have a chance to add your letters.

Could you email the Director of Graduate Studies or a comparable person in the department to let them know that the GRAD School Admission people do have the letter?
