Utah valley university housing/finances

I’m contemplating transferring from my private, four-year university in Pennsylvania to Utah Valley University in the fall. UVU doesn’t have on-campus housing, so I was wondering if there’s any way that I’d be able to get funding for that through my loans? It’s a really iffy situation, really, and I’m having a hard time deciding what to do. Any other information about UVU housing, UVU in general, or transferring would be greatly appreciated.

The Cost of Attendance will include an amount for off-campus housing, but that doesn’t mean that you will receive aid that covers the COA. You would be eligible for a Pell grant if your EFC is low enough, and you would be eligible for Stafford loans based on your academic level (which depends on the transfer credits they accept). Other than that, there is no way for anyone to tell you what you will receive … probably not much, though. Here is a link for UTU’s merit page: [UVU Available Scholarships](http://www.uvu.edu/financialaid/scholarships/availablescholarships.html). Check it out, and then contact their aid office to discuss your particular situation. Usually, out of state transfer students find that they don’t have all their costs covered … but you won’t know until you talk with them.
