UTDallas vs UPenn

<p>So I’ve basically read through a lot of threads and many have said the undergrad school does not matter in getting into med school.</p>

<p>Right now, I am leaning towards UT Dallas since I dont have to pay a dime for college (I get 1100 a month stipend). For Penn, I would have to pay around 15k after fin aid with loans and work study. Would going to UTD lower my chances of getting into say Harvard Med School?</p>

<p>Top students at either school will have many options open to them. Bottom students at either school will have all options closed to them. The question is: what about the vast majority of kids in the middle?</p>

<p>Maybe, but not by a lot. I say so only because Ivy League med schools are sort of prestige-whorish when it comes to the people they interview.</p>
