Well, I’m rescinding my spot, this whole thing has been depressing. I’ve planned out transferring into UVa as a third-year econ major since my first year at CC and it I had gotten accepted. EFC was calculated at 17k a year, parents made 50k in 2017 then 38k in 2018 – my aid for the 19-20 year was $6k in grants, 15k in government loans , which means I would need to bridge the rest with $40,000 in private loans. I’ve called the SFS office and the lady was outright rude and clearly tried getting me off the phone ASAP when I was explaining my situation; I’ve also e-mailed the financial aid admistrators and got not response. I give up, it was my absolute dream to attend this university and was so excited to get in…not sure if the waitlist is still active but cheers to whoever gets this spot.
