I’d say that you’re in at UVA since you’re in-state.
I think that your SAT reading and writing could hurt you when it comes down to all of the other elite schools on your list.
Your community service is impressive!

I’d say Northwestern and Columbia are stretches. I had similar stats, with less impressive extra-curricular activities and was rejected at Northwestern. Not to say that you don’t have a chance though. I know people with lower stats that have gotten into each. I think you have good chances at the rest. Good Luck!!

What do want to major in? Also, you have the “stats” to get into these schools; your essays will be the deciding factor. Write intresting essays that reveal your ability to think and you could very well get accepted to all these schools. Write boring essays and you only have a chance at UVA. I say this based on personal experience. I’ve read many college essays from kids applying to a wide array of colleges. I found that a good essay combined with 2000 produced better results than a bad essay combined with a 2200. Let your friends and parents read your essays; they will provide you with the best input.

your SATs are going to hurt you…not enough balance, for the schools you’ve mentioned. we are OOS UVA and your SATs would keep you out if you were OOS. maybe Emory?

dude thats ******** about what the other ppl have been saying your SAT is perfect for all but NW and even then you could get in with that. Definatley dont stress out about the SAT score its not bad at all.
