I was recently accepted OOS to University of Virginia, so it came as a surprise to me that I was accepted to Notre Dame’s Gateway Program. These two schools have been my top choices for a long time, so I am feeling extremely conflicted. If I had been accepted as a first year student to ND, I probably would have wound up choosing to go there. However, because I want to have a conventional college experience, I am extremely hesitant about putting myself in the position of having to go through the Gateway Program.
I will be visiting both schools’ Accepted Students Days in the next couple weeks so I can make an informed decision, but I would really appreciate any advice anyone has.
