<p>at my school (SL) it seemed to go down to 3.7. Our “honor graduates” (4.0+ kids, there were 12) went to Duke, Yale, Penn, USC, Richomnd, Academies, UVA (x5) and W&M.</p>
<p>I guess they have established cut offs for each school, at least in NOVA.</p>
<p>I would advise you to check with records of previous years at your school. My school keeps the last few years worth on file with GPA, SAT score, IB classes taken, full Diploma, etc. And then accepted / rejected / waitlisted.</p>
