UVa Transfer Admission

I am currently in my second year at a community college in Oklahoma and am hoping to transfer into the School of Engineering at UVa for the Fall of 2015.

I know that there are certain requirements to be admitted (calculus, physics, chemistry, etc) into the Junior year at UVa. However, by the time I complete my second year at this community college, I will not have all of these requirements. I noticed on the website that there was an asterisk that stated that students that are going into their Sophomore year (rather than junior year) do not need to have all these requirements.

My question is this: Can I apply for admission into UVa as a Sophomore or am I forced to apply for admission into the third-year due to the fact that I spent 2 years at the community college?

Thanks!

IMO, your status as sophomore or junior is based on # of earned credits regardless of # of years spent at colleges. If reqs are not met, you WILL not be admitted into ENGINEERING, you might still be admitted in University Studies, e.g., general studies.

Hello! If any transfers are in need of housing we have one at Jefferson Commons (Single bed room) for around 550, and there are 5 girls! 4 of the girls are sharing 2 rooms and they are willing to raise 100 dollars to decrease the rent of the last single room to 550 from 650! Please let me know if you are interested!
