UVic or UBC for sociology MA?

I want to get an MA in sociology and I applied to University of Victoria as well as UBC. If I were to get into both, which one should I pick? I already got into Victoria and it seems like a great university, in a more “homie” type of community, maybe less competitive, which I like. But my professors tell me I should go to UBC no matter what if I get into both. I really don’t care about prestige, especially since I am not looking to get a PhD later, but it seems like that all the professors tell me matters.

What do you think?
