UW Electrical Engineering Ranking

Hi everybody,

I’ve been combing the internet for the US News Rankings (for any year) of EE Grad Schools. However, it seems that only the top 10 are listed on the US News site. I’ve just visited the University of Washington campus and absolutely love it. However, I cannot for the life of me find a ranking for the EE grad school program. I know that only the top 20 or so usually get published.

Does anybody have an idea of where UW stands for EE programs in terms of grad schools?

Thanks!
Matt

Thanks everyone for the data, that helped out a lot.

@OminousRun, I agree with you entirely, and out of all my 4 schools UW has the lowest ranking, which isn’t a big concern to me. I just wanted to see where it was in the rankings and make sure it wasn’t 100 out of 100 or anything.

Nobody cares about USNWR rankings, not least for graduate school. Your relationship with your advisor and your compatibility of research interests are 10,000,000 times more important than a worthless ranking number from a dead newsmagazine.

Haha, very well put! I’ve spent the past few months choosing these schools based on my interests and the last week meeting professors and grad coords talking, so I’m sure the data I’ve collected is much more acurate.

I agree. However, if I am curious about rankings I usually look at the National Research Council rankings over the others.
